About Us
In 1974, Caribex Inc, started a company called Airshares Inc. Operating from Washington National Airport ( DCA) , the company was set up to offer shares in corporate type aircraft. The also had offices in Ocean City Maryland. Over a period of 6 months the company sold out 5 aircraft with 4 owners in each.
In 1977, the principal, Robert Firth, sold the company to one of the individuals he bought an aircraft from and returned to commercial aviation as the Chief Pilot of a 121 airline in Atlanta Georgia.
Since then, Mr. Firth has been involved in setting up flight departments and airlines worldwide. It wasn't until reciently that Captain Firth decided to re-visit the Airshares management program and, after seeing the level of interest in fractional ownership and experiencing first hand the considerable frustration that passengers have with scheduled airlines, he decided to once again enter this business.
